Small Intro first, Im Dhanraj, UTM.
I am part of the Student Union and also one of the influential person of the UTM Student Computer Society.
Our good UTM, lol
, has been constantly growing in size, technologically as well as many other ways. Im sure u must have heart of the SU as well as societies at UTM. Well, I know guys from SITE have been wondering if there is a society/community that caters for their needs and requirements.Well, SITE(Ex Sobise) has its Student Society!!!!
The UTM Student Computer Society(USCS) is the first recognised society at UTM which mainly caters for SITE students. 
About the USCS, it was set up intially to perform the following functions:
1. To promote the use of Information Technology, computer science and ICT related activities within the University and in the community.
2. To facilitate the exchange of information and expertise between Members of the Society.
3. To organize speaker meetings, lectures, "hands-on" sessions and social events.
We have been having the society up and running for 3 or 4 years since its setting up and was dormant due to lack of incentives and commitment.
Past members, a team of current UTM students and myself have tried hard to re set up the society since it was extremely beneficial to students. We realized it was a big loss to not having the society running as before. Thus, in view of the re setting up of USCS, my team and I will be helping all volunteers to set up a committee as soon as possible.
The committee shall be as follows:
1. The Committee shall consist of ten Members of the Society. In addition the committee shall also comprise a senior member who shall be a UTM full time academic staff. The committee shall be responsible for the running of the Society.
2. The Committee members shall include the following officers who are elected by members of the society:
1. The President, to preside over meetings, to authorize all expenditure and ultimately be responsible for the running of the Society.
2. The Secretary, to take minutes at meetings, deal with Society correspondence and stand in for the President when necessary.
3. The Treasurer, to maintain the accounts of the Society, report to the members thereon, and to stand in for the Secretary when necessary.
4. The Vice-President
5. The Assistant Secretary
6. The Assistant Treasurer
7. The Public Relations Officer
8. Elected Member
9. Elected Member
10. Elected Member
